Ara Lucia is a director and visual artist who makes photo-fables: photographs of invented worlds that tell a story. Her work and studies combine a background in performance, choreography, visual books, and psychology.
Early work using these media explored a private world of myth-making. Her more recent work, however, has moved into the public and sometimes politically charged area of exploring her own bi-sexual identity, and its relevance to the culture at large.
Ara Lucia’s studio is in Berrien Springs, Michigan. No matter where you are, you can follow her on Twitter.
